Timothy Lederer serves as Manager of Customer Operations Oversight for the Long Island Power Authority (“LIPA”). Mr. Lederer joined LIPA in 2017 with more than 20-years of electric and gas utility experience. Mr. Lederer is responsible for fulfilling LIPA’s mission of providing clean, reliable, and affordable electric service for customers by monitoring and reviewing customer service functions, regulations, processes and performance. Mr. Lederer has a bachelor’s degree in business management from DeVry University.
Mr. Lederer’s role within LIPA includes customer operations oversight for Call Centers, Collections, Revenue Operations, SOX, and Customer Offices. Timothy also assists in developing and managing financial and customer focused metrics designed to determine financial compensation for the utility.
Timothy was a team member for the utility 2.0 plan designed for energy cost savings in conjunction with REV monitoring major projects across Long Island. He has focused on smart meter implementation, rate modernization, electric vehicles, mobile battery storage, and supersavers programs on bill financing and solar output.
He is a Member of Tableau analytical team in designing and analyzing data provided by the utility to obtain trending and process improvements. He is also a member of Environmental Advisory Committee.
