Keith Rooney is National Grid’s Director of Customer, Government Relations & Community management for the downstate New York business.
Keith has over 30 years’ experience with National Grid. His experience includes Manager of Gas Control for Long Island and Upstate New York. He managed twenty rotating shift operators, thirty plus power generators, gas compliance and ran the gas network for the state.

Keith graduated from St Joseph’s College with a business degree and Executive MBA. He is a former United States Marine. Has served on the
NGA Gas Control Managers board and the Deer Park School board as Vice President. Keith is a David Rockefeller Fellows leadership Program graduate. Keith completed the United Way’s Loaned Executive program in New York City. This role included customer management, marketing, project management, public speaking and driving a positive change in the communities we serve.

Keith’s current role as National Grid’s Jurisdictional Director of Customer, Government Relations and Community Management, he is responsible for all major customer, government and community activities in downstate New York. This includes managing a team of Jurisdictional Managers in Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island.
