The USGBC-LI Sustainable Transportation Committee invites you to learn how freight gets to Long Island, tour the Brookhaven Rail Terminal, and learn more about the how LEED Transportation credits that can raise your LEED certification from Silver to Gold.

Brookhaven Rail Terminal (BRT) is Long Island’s first multi-modal rail freight facility providing rail-based shipping and logistic services to one of the largest consumer markets in the US, transporting goods on and off Long Island by rail. BRT translates into competitive transportation costs for businesses, increased access to world markets through national rail connections and a competitive, sustainable transportation alternative to long haul trucking.
Directions: LIE East to Exit 66 – to CR 101 South (Sills Road). Entrance to Brookhaven Rail Terminal is just south of the LIE to the left of CR 101.
