The Ultimate Guide to Understanding Scoring in Arc; 1.0 hour LEED specific for O+M, the LEED Green Associate, and 1 AIA LU
About:
Arc’s scoring methodology is unlike any other in the world because it is the only building scoring methodology that can balance multiple dimensions simultaneously. For example, we know that for energy performance, using less energy is better. But energy usage alone doesn’t tell us the whole story about energy performance- we also have to factor in building size, building type, occupancy, and outside factors like weather. We're using this unique method of scoring using multiple dimensions to enable you to determine how your projects is performing in sustainability, health, and finance and find ways to improve. This method of scoring is now being applied to Buildings, Cities, and Communities in Arc.
In this session, we’ll reveal the inner workings of how we determine the Arc score. From here, you’ll be able to better understand your score, what that score means, and apply that knowledge to improve the performance of your project.
Objectives:
1. Describe how the Arc scoring algorithm works - and how this data is used to meet the requirements of LEED v4.1 O+M and LEED recertification
2. Identify the key performance indicators that inform the score and how they were selected – and their related LEED v4.1 goals
3. Summarize how scoring uses multiple dimensions and that is important to LEED projects
4. Interpret the score to understand and improve performance for both LEED v4.1 projects and those not yet pursuing certification
