This 1-story commercial office building was purchased in June 2022 by Chuck Merritt to become the new home for his company, Merritt Environmental Consulting Corporation. The building is 4,710 square feet and sits on a plot size of .41 acres. The building underwent renovations while pursuing the LEED v4 Commercial Interiors project scope. Huntington Hospital Emergency Department
The design of Huntington Hospital’s new Emergency Department uses a holistic approach to sustainability. The design focuses on extensive water use reduction, solar orientation, strong energy performance, enhanced commissioning, low-emitting materials and extensive construction waste management. Collectively, these measures helped the project earn a LEED Gold certification.
Green Innovation and Addition for LGBT Center on Long Island
This multifunction community center in Patchogue, NY will help the Long Island headquarters of the LGBT Network continue their mission of providing a safe space and resource for thousands in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community on Long Island.
Smithtown Libraries
Long Island's largest library serving the communities of Smithtown: Commack, Fort Salonga, Hauppauge, Head of the Harbor, Kings Park, Nesconset, Nissequogue, Saint James, Smithtown, village of the branch. The Smithtown special library district is dedicated to providing access to diverse information, lifelong learning and entertainment resources through outstanding service for all residents of the library district via multiple facilities consisting of the Smithtown main library, the Commack branch library, the Kings Park branch library, and the Nesconset branch library.
Canon USA Headquarters
As a leader in Professional business and consumer imaging equipment and information systems Canon offers an extensive line of consumer, business-to-business, and industrial digital imaging solutions. GLS played a role in the electrical, security and DAS installation. The opening of the new Canon Americas headquarters in Melville, N.Y., in February 2013 capped a long journey for Canon U.S.A., which for many years had been searching for a place on Long Island that would be a suitable location to establish a new home.
Wild by Nature in Oceanside, LI
Wild by Nature in Oceanside has been awarded LEED® Gold certification for new construction by the U.S. Green Building Council. Wild by Nature is the first Supermarket in the State of New York to be awarded LEED Gold certification!

Westhampton Free Library
The Westhampton Free Library, located in Westhampton Beach, has been awarded LEED Gold certification. The 2-story, 14,250 sq. ft. building faithfully replicates the original 100-year old historic library while providing twice the square footage and adding an outdoor reading garden.
The Library received 47 documented and approved points using LEED version 2.2.
Amityville Village Hall
The Amityville Town Hall has been awarded LEED Gold Certification. The new three-story, 20,000 square-foot American Georgian-style building houses the Police Department, Village Administration Offices including the Building and Tax Departments, as well as the Justice Court and ancillary offices.
