Mr. Rosen is a New York State Registered Architect, LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Energy Manager, Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager, Green Globes Professional and Evidence-Based Design Accredited Professional with over 30 years experience in the design, construction and operations of healthcare facilities in the New York City area. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Energy Management.
Neil is the Chairman of the Water Efficiency Technical Advisory Group for USGBC National. He is a Founding Board Member of the Long Island Geothermal Exchange Organization. Previously, Mr. Rosen served as a Board Member as well as being a Past Treasurer for the USGBC-LI Chapter.
In his current position as Director of Sustainability at the North Shore LIJ Health System, he is responsible for initiating and coordinating the Health System’s Sustainability Initiatives. He leads the effort to facilitate the certification of all system’s projects under the USGBC’s LEED rating systems. To date he has successfully lead his team to 16 certifications including 2 at the Platinum level and 4 at the Gold level.
Mr. Rosen also serves as an instructor for SUNY Stony brook’s Advanced Energy Training Institute teaching courses in Construction Management and Sustainability.
He served as Project Team Administrator for the Katz Women’s Hospital at North Shore-3rd and 4th Floors, 2 of only 5 Inpatient Hospitals in the World to be awarded LEED Platinum.
